A Brilliant Tour of Nha Trang”
Reviewed March 29, 2017We were recommended to James by friends and how lucky we were! A day packed with great insights to the real Nha Trang, visiting places off the beaten track as well as the well known temples and places of interest. We were on a day visit from a cruise ship so wanted to make the most of the time we had, everything was at an easy pace with fabulous stops sampling local food and drinks on the way. I would highly recommend this tour not only for the places visited and fantastic local knowledge that James shared with us but it was also extremely good value for money! I will certainly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Nha Trang and if you have more time to spend there than us, then I'm sure James can offer you even more. This tour certainly provides that opportunity. Full on but at an easy pace. Vicki below summed it all up and it certainly has made us want to return to Nha trang. Thanks guys it was an awesome day Cruise ship day excursions Nha Trang Vietnam“Great personalised service from a very committed guide”
Reviewed 27 May 2015 NEW We pre-booked our tour with James prior to departing on our cruise into Vietnam - Nha Trang day trip. In the lead up to the day, James was very good at communicating with me about the details of the tour and accommodated our specific requests that we thought we might like to see. I would go so far as to describe this service as above any level of communication that I usually come across. We were going to be late due to the cruise ship Tender being late and I also messaged James these details of which nothing was a problem. His partner Jane was waiting for us at the designated pick up spot and had a lovely air-conditioned van that seated all 6 of us. Jane also came with drinks for the kids and adults, very thoughtful. Lunch was pre-arranged at a great Vietnamese eating spot, we visited many of the touristy areas we needed to see along with some rural places that were very interesting. Jane commentated throughout the entire tour and was a wealth of knowledge about Nha Trang and Vietnam in general. In some respects, her knowledge alone was well worth the price! I would highly recommend contacting this tour guide when in Vietnam, Nha Trang area. Visited May 2015 “5-star Day”
Reviewed March 17, 2014 This was our best day on a 28-day cruise. It's always a little exercise in trust to make long distance arrangements, but James and Jane were so responsive to our emails, that we relaxed immediately. When we arrived, James had already worked with us to tailor a day to meet our interests. We visited the Po Nager Temple, the Long Son Pagoda, the rock Cathedral, cruised the river, had fruit and tea at the beautiful Ancient House, had a delicious riverside lunch, and enjoyed (I mean really enjoyed) the Thap Ba Mud Baths. We only wished we had another hour at the mud baths they were so much fun. all day long James had cold water and good advice handy. He's a charmer and we were thoroughly charmed. Visited February 2014 “An excellent, memorable day in Nha Trang”
Reviewed 11 February 2014 Our first email to James was replied to promptly and he made it clear from the start that the day would be ours to do exactly what we wanted and at a pace that suited us. Jim and his wife Jane were waiting for us when we disembarked from our cruise ship and were very friendly and welcoming. As there were just the two of us, together with Jim & Jane, we had ample room in the large taxi they hired for us. They provided us with drinks (including rice beer) and stopped the car whenever there was a particular photo opportunity. We visited the Rock Cathedral, the Long Son Pagoda, stopped for tea at the Ancient House, had lunch by the river, visited the Po Nagar Temple and the XQ silk village, and drove through small villages enabling us to see the rural way of life, including rice fields and water buffalo. Jane was great company in the markets and it was as if we were being shown round with friends which was a refreshing change from being herded on an off coaches with big tour groups and meant we could stay at each spot as long as it suited us. We ended the day sampling Vietnamese coffee which was delicious and something we probably might not have done on our own. We were taken back to our ship in good time for our departure as agreed. For a very competitive price, which included all food and drinks, and little more than a group tour, we had a very memorable day and would not hesitate to recommend Jim & Jane's Magical Mystery Tour to any of our friends that visit Nha Trang. “Best day trip”
Reviewed 21 February 2014 We booked a tour as part.of our cruise & loved the experience we shared in NhaTrang. We were late joining the shore excursion, how embarrassing, but Jane was very gracious & the rest of the day was wonderful. We really felt like we saw the real Vietnam & will definitely go back to Nha Trang. Our lunch was great, food, company & venue made it a lovely day. Highly recommend. This was a great tour! The highlight was catching two BIG catfish at a local pond, but we ate bread hot out of the oven at a small bakery, bought woven mats from three lovely ladies in their very small workshop, had a wonderful lunch at a restaurant by the river, saw the sights of Nha Trang and the surrounding area and made it back to the ship with a little time to spare. Jane is very knowledgeable about the country, its customs, its history and the people in general. The only disappointment of the day was that the restaurant was out of lizard-on-a-stick.......hopefully next time!

"it is a small price to pay for the privilege of seeing such beautiful sights. You are very lucky to live in such a beautiful place we all loved Nha Trang. We were disappointed not to meet you but Gordon did a good job showing us around, it was a lovely day. The river cruise was really special I simply loved the teashop and its setting the restaurant was lovely as well" Stan Re: Tour 28th " Thank you very much for the great day. We enjoyed all of the different sites and activities that we were able to get in during the day. We really appreciated the efforts that you went through to customize the trip and to adapt throughout the day, to our interests. We now not only have the many photos that we were able to take during the day, but also the wonderful pictures from the photo studio, to remember our time in Nha Trang and Viet Nam. We would not only strongly recommend your tour company, but also you, specifically, as a tour guide. Have a great 2014!" BEST DAY TRIP
