“An excellent, memorable day in Nha Trang”
Reviewed 11 February 2014
Our first email to James was replied to promptly and he made it clear from the start that the day would be ours to do exactly what we wanted and at a pace that suited us. Jim and his wife Jane were waiting for us when we disembarked from our cruise ship and were very friendly and welcoming. As there were just the two of us, together with Jim & Jane, we had ample room in the large taxi they hired for us. They provided us with drinks (including rice beer) and stopped the car whenever there was a particular photo opportunity. We visited the Rock Cathedral, the Long Son Pagoda, stopped for tea at the Ancient House, had lunch by the river, visited the Po Nagar Temple and the XQ silk village, and drove through small villages enabling us to see the rural way of life, including rice fields and water buffalo. Jane was great company in the markets and it was as if we were being shown round with friends which was a refreshing change from being herded on an off coaches with big tour groups and meant we could stay at each spot as long as it suited us. We ended the day sampling Vietnamese coffee which was delicious and something we probably might not have done on our own. We were taken back to our ship in good time for our departure as agreed. For a very competitive price, which included all food and drinks, and little more than a group tour, we had a very memorable day and would not hesitate to recommend Jim & Jane's Magical Mystery Tour to any of our friends that visit Nha Trang.
